Imitex today announced the appointment of Dr Megan Baldwin and Dr Charmaine Gittleson as Non-Executive Directors, effective immediately.
Dr Baldwin brings more than 25 years of biotechnology experience to the Board, with a strong track record in corporate leadership, strategic financing and drug development. As founder and CEO of Opthea she secured more than $830 million in funding from global institutional investors, led two phase 3 global clinical trials and led the listing of the Australian company on Nasdaq. Dr Baldwin has particular expertise in ophthalmic and oncology biologics.
Dr Gittleson brings more than 25 years of deep sector knowledge across biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and innovation-led healthcare. She previously served as Chief Medical Officer at CSL Behring (ASX: CSL), and is currently Chair of Percheron Therapeutics (ASX:PER) and is a Non-Executive Director of PolyNovo (ASX:PNV), Imugene (ASX:IMU) and UK-based George Medicines.
